This is exactly what Ticketmaster used for one of the last marketing actions they carried out to promote one of Spandau Ballet concerts in Spain. They price? A Meet & Greet with them and a pair of tickets for its concert in Madrid Barclaycard Centre next June.
Just how the brand did with Katy Perry, they proposed their fans the upload of a video, in this case singing the chorus of one of Spandau Ballet song. The members of the band encouraged fans to participate in a contest promotional video. Among the five most voted videos, a jury would choose the winner.
In order to implement this campaign in other social networks, Ticketmaster also allowed fans to participate from Twitter or Instagram, uploading the video directly from the participant account with the hashtag #MySpandauSong.
This contest most special peculiarity is that all of the participations would be collected into Ticketmaster Spain Youtube channel, in detail in one of its playlists -specially created for this event- Masterfan Spandau Ballet.
